I also know what it is like to be a daughter without a Mom. I am so sorry that you were stolen away. Some adults just don't stop and think enough about their impact on children. My Mom left me when I was an infant and I didn't meet her again until I was in high school. My own situation strengthened my resolve to be there for my children. I went through some difficult times as a young single mother with no safety net and no Mom to turn to for support or advice. But I endured and persevered and drew from my maternal instincts. In a strange way, I guess, I drew inner strength from being motherless, and it caused me to be more powerful and devoted as a Mom when it mattered most. I'll bet you can relate to that. I may not get everything right, but I try hard and I sure do take the job seriously. It sounds as though you have been extremely blessed with your children. Congratulations on the twins.
