I'm patting myself on the back for going on a 10-day vacation and not stepping so much as one FOOT into a fabric store. I did some sewing with my niece, using her scraps, to start a string quilt, but I was only making a teeny tiny dent in her scrap bin. Maybe a half yard total? So I didn't spend a dime, but got my "need for speed" on her Janome Skyline. My husband chided her for making me drool over that sweet machine this close to my 50th birthday!
