That's true FMQ'ing is hard. Straight stitch with the walking foot is much easier. I hope to become proficient in both over time.
The patriotic quilt required SID and FMQ and I decided to be daring and do everything with the FMQ foot. It takes a bit of getting used to but after a while I got the hang of it.
