I have used this site's method and they have all turned out great.
http://www.toocooltshirtquilts.com They use rulers that are divisible by 4". I don't use their math, just cut the tees out with the recommended sizes, then fill in with blank pieces of scrap where/when needed for color or fill. I love doing these.
