I really can’t add much that the others haven’t said about swapping machine heads in cabinets. I’ve run into problems with heads not folding down in some cabinets, but I don’t have any particulars on which cabinets and which heads, or even if they were treadle or electric cabinets. I’ve only got one fold-down treadle cabinet in the bunch, and it’s a White SM Co unit instead of Singer. The coffin-top treadle that my Singer 27K2 is in has a really shallow drip pan in it that might not accommodate some machines, but I haven’t ever tried putting any other head in that treadle cabinet.
You may just have to experiment to find out about yours.
