I have had front loaders with and without pedestals. I am 5'2" and had trouble reaching stuff in the dryer. My hubby built pedestals for me after googling it. It is like a study table so i can store things under it. We did put the anti-vibration pads under all feet(found them for a great price on Amazon) and really do not notice any extra vibrations. You do have to make sure all is level though. I would definitely do the pedestals again. My back appreciates them!!
