Bring a pillow or seat cushion for your .... bum or your back! You never know how low or how high the chairs will be. A lint brush so you don't go out in public looking like you just spent time at a quilt retreat!

I always take water, and snacks that please my diet. I also take some time. Yes, I go for a walk, to get the back in order again after sitting so long. Bring a smile, a bag of patience and a jar basket of compliments to share with others.
I prefer to pre-cut just one project and work from beginning to end. I may bring a small second project but seldom work on it. I learned not to bring 5 projects. I just don't get them done. It feels sooooo good to step in to the site ready to go and walk out with a finished piece. But that is my way of doing things. It also keeps me focused and I pack lighter.
Someone else mentioned fan and sweater to fit your comfort level..... oh so important. I also bring socks because I am a barefoot quilter and those tootsies can get cold in a new environment.
Just enjoy it all. A retreat has always been a good experience for me and those in my guild. Quilt on girl! Let us know how it goes for you.
Oh, I just looked at someone else's post and it reminded me. I so enjoy a book on cd or what every while I sew. Good idea Pagzz! I get mine from the local library and enjoy, enjoy.
