Eleanor Burns has an autograph block in her book "Still Stripping After 25 Years". I think some people use a simple snowball block. You could probably even use a rail fence and write on the light rails. Search signature quilts on this board and there are other posts about them with good tips. A great one is to make sure you mark the seam allowance or have a template so the writing does not get lost in the seam!
