thats just like when most people do fleece blankets. If you read the directions for fabric amounts it says 2 yards, well most of my kids are either close to or above 6ft, tall, 2 yds won't cut it. I get them either 3 or 3 1/2 yards to make sure they can snuggle in them and be warm.
