Good suggestions, I will follow up on them. The bargain price means that the quality of the close-out and remaindered fabrics at this store is uncertain. They have everything from the finest high-end to junk, but I will credit their buyer on his choices; much of it is decent quality with a constant trickle of really fine natural-fiber fabrics. (He has to buy what his customers want, after all.) I'll do some color-fastness testing on the silks I bought; It's a good thing to know. The plan has changed and the silk quilt I had planned on will now be conventional cotton, but I'd still like to try one in silk before too long.
