We use apple pie filling to make hand pies or fried pies if you're like me and from the south. I have a circle cutter for tart size crusts and I use that to make the crust and put a tbsp of apple pie filling in the center and fold the crust into a half moon shape and seal the edges. Bake at 350 until golden brown. You can do an egg wash on the outside if you like and sprinkle with a little bit of sugar. Or if you want fried just heat your oil and drop it in until golden brown turn it over to brown the opposite side.

You can also use the half pint mason jars to make your pie in. Spray to bottom of the jar with a little cooking spray. Use the lid of the jar to cut a circle of dough and place it in the bottom of the jar. Spoon in the filling to cover the crust. Cut another circle or use a cookie cutter of choice or cut strips of dough to cover the pie filling. Bake at 350 until golden brown.

I've done both of these many times and it is easy, quick and delish. I hope this helps
