This is a recipe I found in one of those "brand name" cookbooks, GREAT AMERICAN FAVORITE BRAND NAME COOKBOOK, COLLECTOR'S EDITION. I use apple pie filling instead of the peach pie filling recommended. This is the recipe: 1 package Duncan Hines yellow cake mix, 1/2 teaspoon each of cinnamon and nutmeg, 2 sticks of softened butter or margarine, 1/2 cup chopped nuts, 1 can of peach (I used apple) pie filling, 1 can of whole cranberry sauce.

Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Combine dry mix, cinnamon, nutmeg in bowl. Cut in butter or margarine with pastry cutter or two knives until crumbly. Toss in nuts. Set aside.

Combine pie filling and cranberry sauce in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan and mix well. Sprinkle crumb mixture over fruit. Bake at 350 F. for 45 tp 50 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.

My family loves this "cobbler."
