This happened to me when a wall hanging. I have no idea where the blood came from. I had my finished top fused to the batting. I gently pulled it back and put a terry cloth under it and dabbed on peroxide with another terry cloth. The stain came out with very little effort. Then I repeated the process with water to remove the peroxide from the fabric.
