Thanks, sewbizgirl. I don't think I've ever had as much fun in quilting as I'm having right now working with these units. What a cool and wonderful quilt this is! I'm really getting into these neutrals -- I think I'm a convert to the Bonnie neutral concept. The more you put up, the more balanced it looks. So glad I let loose!
I'm glad you tried letting loose, too. You made a few comments during the process that made me wonder if you were going to chicken out... but I believed in you.
The more you put up, the more balanced it looks. EXACTLY. You can't judge by one block. And then when it's all quilted and done it will be the most fun quilt, because there's so much "stuff" in there to find. Overall, you see the pattern (the grand scheme) but up close you see all the little "things".
