The quilt name is Mountain Moon from a workshop our guild sponsored. I call my quilt, Sliced Stash because I used my stash to make it and the blocks look like pie slices of fabric.
The blocks are on the flannel wall right now. The pattern does not call for a border. The binding is shown to be scrappy from the fabrics used in the blocks. I would like to add a border to make the quilt larger. The Blocks will finish at 11". I was thinking about putting a light border using the same creme fabric seen in the blocks since I have enough to do so. Then I would put a colorful scrappy binding. First ? is what size border would look right? I was thinking 3" finished. Second? : What color border would you choose? Would the light fabric work?
