Our Y has a Senior Fit class - 30 minutes of guided exercise followed by 30 minutes of your choice, walking, machines, etc. I'm sure the pool is not an option, though it probably wouldn't be for me in any case. I love aquaerobics, but became allergic to the chemicals in the pool. I still have scars after 25+ years. The trouble with the Senior Fit is that it requires a pretty strong commitment. Every Tuesday and Thursday with no excused absences. I have been thinking about joining because I have a friend who needs something and I can't see him in any other type of class. I won't give up my two yoga classes or 45 minutes a day walking the dogs, so I'm not sure about adding more time away from home or on my bolted together feet. Choices, choices. I'd join the Y if I could attend an aquaerobics class. I guess the only to find out is to get a guest pass and try it. I have to miss yoga tomorrow and I am so bummed. I will do a DVD when I get home, but that's not the same as a live class -especially one with a young male instructor.
