Congrats on getting them finished with what little fabric you had available. I never would have known the borders were pieced if you hadn't mentioned it a shown the pictures.
I just had barely enough of two of the fabrics for normal borders. When I went with a mitered one I was SHORT and had to add to the pieces I'd taken out for the mitering. The mitering itself actually was not difficult. I was really mad at myself for running out of fabric. Or forgetting I needed to be careful with what I had...
