April projects were 2 scrap quilts, one with 840 (4 1/2") equilateral triangles the other with 900 (3") squares-- paired with 900 white on white (3") squares really eats up scraps! Between the scrap triangles & squares they used 16.75 yards of fabric! Add in the 6.75 yards of white on white I used up 23 1/2 yards of stash fabric! Amazing when I do the math.
Even more amazing that I had that much scraps to use! There's still a lot more but I'm making good dents.
next quilt will be an appliqué one-- more scraps to use up.
i did purchase 4 yds. of wide fabric for the triangle quilt-- 1 yd to use for borders, 3 yds. for the back. My shelves are no longer crammed, there is room on them and I'm finding I have smaller pieces to choose from. I think more scrap quilts are in my future. I've also been participating in some on going projects/swaps that use up some bits here & there-- April probably another 3 yards between the fabrics I sent in packages and the apron I made.
