Ok, This was a needless worry. All tackiness was gone the next day. Yeah!!!!! So now I am using the adhesive with abandon. I am making a stitch and flip quilt, because I am in a hurry for a baby quilt, and I am spraying after each row. This technique is being used to replace ironing the flipped seam because, I dont want to iron the batting. It is also holding the quilt in place while I move it around the room from the cutting/layout table to the sewing machine and back again. Thanks for all ya'll's help.
