I have to chuckle at this thread!! "WHY are they so expensive??!!" say a huge group of people who love them, buy them at every opportunity, and wouldn't part with them for the world!! YOU are the reason!! Wish I could say WE but I haven't found one yet, LOL!! I am struggling along with my Kenmore 185J Leadweight - small in size but makes up for it in poundage.
