That is just beautiful. I love the colors you have used. Your backing fabric looks like you chose it first. You made a beautiful piece of art there for one lucky daughter. I have heard of this stitch, but I don't recall having seen it made up before, or if I saw it, I didn't know the pattern. My dear Mother would have loved this stitch and may have even used it - I wouldn't know-she crocheted every day until her brain tumor prevented her from doing so. I will have to try it.
