You can use either type of zipper. Most of it is in how you put it in. When you use the invisible zipper, it should blend into the seam so you can't tell there is a zipper - hence the name invisible zipper. If inserted correctly, I don't see any problem using a 'regular' zipper except maybe on something like an evening gown. Bottom line is to use what you are comfortable inserting. No need to add stress.
