If the pattern calls for an invisible zipper, which doesn't have a covering placket, and you used a regular zipper, wouldn't you have to adjust the pattern to allow for a placket?
BTW--those huge exposed zippers drive me crazy--always makes me think the wearer has their clothes inside out!
