I save pretty small strips.. 4" or so. I piece them together for little projects like placemats and coasters. Last week I threw out a bunch of 2&3 inch strips I had cut from my latest queen sized quilt before binding... Then while away for a weekend with a friend, she bought a pattern for a purse/bag which uses jelly roll strips and narrow batting strips. I came home and retrieved the scraps of batting from my sewing room waste basket. Guess I'll be making a purse with some of them.
