Hanging the plug strip for my iron sounds like a really good idea. I will have my Husband hang it above the counter top I press on. Seems the iron is always getting hung up on stuff beside the counter top. I turn the plug strip off when I am not in there, I also have a light plugged in with the iron. Then I am sure I turned it off.
