I agree with Kitsie - I did around 200 "flying geese" using this method.

One comment here - I increased the size of Fabric B (the color that eventually turns into the corners) to one inch larger (rather than 7/8 as it says in the directions). This gives you a little more fabric to make sure you can trim the top to a nice 1/4 inch seam.

Oh - and your rulers? you will find them if you purchase new ones -
