Thanks for the reminder. I have used this method in the past. Just couldn't think this morning. My quilt needs a little something extra. This will do the trick.

It allows you to cut 1st accent strip 1-5/8 and the 2nd strip 1-3/8 and you sew them together and machine sew them to the back. You then turn the binding to the front and stitch along the flange.
