Thanks for the blast from the past! My grandmother always made and wore the bib aprons. I remember being enveloped in one when I was old enough to help snap bean and de shell peas for canning. My mum made us matching aprons when I was just beginning to walk. I will try to find and post it. My mother always made up to 50 aprons for the November church bazaar. I remember getting the scraps to sew on. I usually wear an apron when preparing big family meals like Christmas. I made my oldest DD a chef style apron with Debbie Mum coffee shop material for Christmas and she was sooo excited to get it! My youngest DD loves lemons and she has several aprons made with lemon material.
