A friend who's DH was an electrician has all her plugs for iron, sewing machines at cabinet level--no leaning over to unplug--which she does when she's finished working cause we have lots of electrical storms. Her long arm has a floor plug directly under the machine table--so no tripping over regardless of side of machine she's working on. Wish I could do that but since in basement can't. Not sure I'd like it hanging above on long arm--would mean not being able to work from back (which I don't do much anyway, but...)
