I'm similar. I often like other people's scrappies, but can not do them myself. I'm too OCD to just pick random scraps in hopes they go together. My biggest success was making a Turning Twenty or Yellow Brick Road with 20 coordinating fabrics from the same fabric bundle. That is about as scrappy as I get. Do what you like and makes you happy.
