I use the hex die for Go. I use the smallest size for paper (I use cardstock) and the middle size for fabric. Works great and a generous seam allowance. There are three sizes on the die. The newer die for hexie and paper have too small a seam allowance.

You can buy pre cut hex papers in any size you like at https://www.paperpieces.com/ Also fabric does not have to be hex shaped to make them. I prefer using square fabric if I have to cut them by hand. It's the only way to get a perfect print design centered on the hexie. There is no need to be precise in the squares cutting, as long as it's bigger then the paper for folding over.
