I love this idea. Originally I planned to keep track of high and low temperatures, but then decided I would be overwhelmed at the end of the year with 365 blocks. I decided to make 2 1/2" unfinished HSTs in a zigzag pattern with highs the top triangle and lows on the bottom. I have temp increments in 5 degrees, ranging from 0 degrees to 100 degrees, starting with blue (3 shades from dark to light), green. yellow, orange, red. If it goes over 100, I'll use red/orange/yellow flames. That's possible in my Chicago area home.
