I don't quilt thru my insulbrite. I just think every hole punched in lets heat thru the product. When I made a table pad for my kitchen island. I made a small quilt using regular batting and an ugly back. Then I added the insulbrite layer, a pretty back and stitched a binding all around it. It washes fine without the stablilizing "quilting".
This what I do. And if I want the look of quilting, I hand quilt the top layers just thru the batting and up.....it is too thick to go thru all the layers and I'm nervous about going thru the insulbrite and putting holes in that.
