In the past I posted my wing shortcut block tutorial. Then I updated it with a paper template version.
This version uses the paper pattern -
Not Paper Piecing- and I show you the easy steps to make this shortcut block. Once you learn to make this shortcut block you can use it to make any of my quilt blocks I design that use this Wings block.
This shortcut allows you to make intricate looking quilt blocks with easy steps.
This is the Wings block

Here is a simple 4 patch you can make with this block

Then you can make any of my designs which use a 6 row with 6 blocks per row grid.
