A designated left hand needle (learned this from you folks, thankyou, was trying to figure out how to move needle!) The instruction manual had excellent maintenance info some of which was if your grease on your gears is tacky apply kerosene and run at high speed; then clean and regrease. The good old days when they expected you to care for your equipment and made it last long enough to do so!
