And this is Big Boy Blue, a heavy duty model 1315 White who is just a SS. I keep him set up for leatherwork. This is the bad boy that started my sewing machine obsession. I bought it refurbished and learned about the japanese machine history through this purchase.

Latest addition to the family, King Kenny. A goodbye to Sears Canada. It's a badged japanese zig zag made for Simpson Sears Canada.

New addition, labeled Century. Needed to rewire the box but working good now. "Self Lubricating" is a button on the top you push which squeezes a plastic oil bottle pushing the oil through little brass pipes. Nice bakelite knobs in soft blue.

This is my latest favourite to use. It's a Sears Kenmore made in Japan 1581 4001. A little newer than my others but it has some built in stitches and sew line markings on either side of the foot which I find really handy. Not quite as pretty but a pleasure to use.

Most Kenmores don't have the visual appeal that other Japanese machines do but their performance more than makes up for it. Good find!
