I love to find the folks who are selling estate sales stuff. Usually they are cleaning out an elderly person's craft room and are bulking things together. You can get some great batches of notions, trims and cotton fabric. When I have a customer who is very specific about a fabric for a wreath or table piece, I often go on Etsy for the focus fabric. I have found some outstanding pieces (only need either half yard or max one yard) and they shipping is only a couple dollars. I wouldn't do this for regular fabric, but for a specialty focus fabric, it is great. (I balance the cost for the product by using solids or great deal fabrics and can still keep my wreaths to under $6 in product). Only caution I would have about the estate sales is to not buy the thread. Often it is 100% cotton but very old.
