I agree 100% with
everything Prism said. Wool or poly would be your best bet. I'd avoid W&N and use Quilter's Dream.
I have a friend who made a lovely pineapple quilt, and she quilted it very densely. She jokes that it's her third child, because it took her 9 months to make and weighs 8 pounds!
