I think you have done a great job with the different sizes of blocks in one piece. The 2" squares look great as you have them.
Seems you could be proud to give this as a gift or use in your home. Our guild has this type of piece for Community quilts;;give to the police dept. for children who are dumped off at the police station, the firemen who have similar situations. Most anyone would be proud to have in their home on display or as a small lap quilt.
My opinion is that not everything has to turn out 100% in quilting or in life. We just "pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again."
