Thanks Penny Candy! That's exactly what I need! Hoping I'll have time tomorrow to play with it. The machine is a brick! It weighs a ton! There is zero plastic on it. I have an Elna from about 1968, which has a little plastic on it, so I'm sure the Riccar is older than that, but I haven't been able to find dates yet of when that model was manufactured. I was hoping the user manual would have a 'publication' date, but no luck.
