Certainly not new, but unusual: Green Tomato Pie. Now before you think Yuk and wrinkle up your nose, just read on. Green tomatoes have no real taste. They are cut up and seeds removed, mixed with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Baked in a double crust and taste like apple pie. Really! Even fooled my very picky husband and his friends. Great way to use up the leftovers in the garden. Many recipes in old cookbooks and now online.
