Tothill...you eat like we do. We love being adventurous in our cooking. I've not tried the Afghan, or Eritrean cuisines...sounds interesting. We are planning a couple of international trips next year and I think that I'm more excited about the foods than the sights! :P

Certainly not new, but unusual: Green Tomato Pie. Now before you think Yuk and wrinkle up your nose, just read on. Green tomatoes have no real taste. They are cut up and seeds removed, mixed with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Baked in a double crust and taste like apple pie. Really! Even fooled my very picky husband and his friends. Great way to use up the leftovers in the garden. Many recipes in old cookbooks and now online.

We try new things all the time. We make curries and many other foods from different countries. Yesterday I had a dish that had chicken, masala curry, chickpeas and these little red things called Sweet Drop Peppers over a bed a of ancient grains . I had never heard of those peppers but they were really good.. We eat cape goose berries, giblets, Hungarian food since my Husband is Hungarian. I love new recipes.
