I use the blue wash away type and have not had any problems. I need the darker line to see. But I do wash my quilts in plain water first to remove all marks and glues used in creating the quilt. Then I wash the quilt a second time with detergent and fabric sofner (sp). I have been doing this for close on 20 years without a problem. I just started using the FriXion pens, but I mostly use these for embroidery and mostly on white. Haven't had any dry up yet.
