Years ago, I bought a quarter yard of rug backing and rubber shelf lining at Joanns. I cut a chunk of rug backing for under the pedals of my machines and cut the shelf liner into squares and use it when I FMQ. Faster and easier than gloves and they throw right into the drawer when not in use. I only paid $2 for the rug backing and since the shelf liner was on clearance - it cost 50 cents! Only problem is that I should have bought a bunch more of it to give to friends.
