IKR!!! I don't press open as a rule, but do it whenever it works best. I do a lot of blocks that have 40+ pieces in them pressing open is the only way to keep sane sometimes.

Kassaundra, I can only shake my head at those self appointed quilt police. Then I just have to laugh and wonder what their reaction would be if they found out that there are people who press their seams open, which, btw, is how I press my seams. Well, I still need to finish my turquoise strips, but I have started to put my 9 - patches together ....... and my seams are all pressed open ..... lol.
