NOOOO--don't do it! ha,ha,ha! I did one for my daughter our of the table topper batiks from her wedding--only had to take it apart 3 times, and because I had so much "fudging" in order not to chop off ALL the points, I had to go over seams a couple of times to make sure none would open. since they went to Ireland on honeymoon, I used a panto, Celtic Curlz, on part of it, put waves and designs from Newgrange on it.
