use glue from now on. it washes out after being washed. No issues with any kind of bugs.

I used the Trimplates that Arlene used in post #94 of this thread, but they are no longer produced. I would like to do another someday, and I will use Deb Tucker's Diamond Recs and Square Squared tools. You can't go wrong with her tools.

My SAS quilt is here: https://www.quiltingboard.com/person...s-t209159.html

You know you can paper piece it? Will make those tricky angles easier and bias problems disappear.

NOOOO--don't do it! ha,ha,ha! I did one for my daughter our of the table topper batiks from her wedding--only had to take it apart 3 times, and because I had so much "fudging" in order not to chop off ALL the points, I had to go over seams a couple of times to make sure none would open. since they went to Ireland on honeymoon, I used a panto, Celtic Curlz, on part of it, put waves and designs from Newgrange on it. They like it but never again!

Storm at Sea was the second quilt I ever made and I turned it on point. That is the advantage of not knowing what I was doing, I just did it. I did not know it was supposed to be a hard quilt to make. I had to fudge a couple of corners because at the time I did not even know what a setting block was! So now, I am fearless when it comes to quilting, they are just 1/4" seams! LOL

I made one years ago. I didn't know it was supposed to be more difficult than any other pattern so I just did it. I am trying to get a picture to upload.

So the original post was made in 2011 and you are still trying to talk INGEMK into our out of making the quilt? LOL

wesing ~ The Trimplates must still be available. I went to a talk at a local quilt guild give by Wendy Mathson, who it seemed had designed the Trimplates. If you took her two-day workshop, you could buy the Trimplates. It was just last month. I don't think she sells them online though.

I think I would use paper piecing ... and hope to do that someday ...
