Peggy - your purple and black block is beautiful.
I've been doing some math and I think the only way it would work on point is w/o an alternate block. Maybe just those rectangles as a skinny sashing. Don't want to spoil the mystery with a guess but if I had 50 blocks and wanted to set them on point I'd put them 5 across and 6 down then fill in the empty spaces with the rest of the blocks. With 6 rows of 5 blocks and 5 rows of 4 blocks that would equal 50 total blocks.... but I could be totally wrong.
