I have the book and love it and it is definitely a good resource for those up for a challenge! The book also includes some patterns but I love that it teaches you how to draft your own. And if you have EQ that may help as well. I do hope you come back and show us what you did, as well as posting pictures of some of your other projects. We would love to see them!
