Cutie, I've been reading your OBW/hexagons instructions this past week, while on vacation (I have my laptop but no sewing machine). I was so captivated that I knew I had to try it. Yesterday went to a quilt shop and bought two pieces of fabric. The first (zebras) I just loved -- but am not sure how it would work in OBW (not a problem, since I'll surely find another use, if necessary). Its repeat is 8". The second (waterlilies) is a 24" repeat and I'm pretty sure it would work well. It is interesting how I see the fabric differently in a photo (a better representation of the relative quantities of each color).

Assuming you'll recommend using the second one...my questions are what size strips to cut (I've read your subsequent threads) and should I go back to the store and get more of this fabric? (I got 4 yards, which gives a single set of 6 repeats.)
